Martyna Smolińska is a Doctor of Medical Sciences for whom dermatology is not only a medical specialty but also an area for reflecting on the complexity of the human body. She specializes in dermatology and venereology, particularly interested in the connections between the skin and other body systems. In her clinical practice, she combines careful attention to each patient’s case with a scientific approach, seeking the causes of skin problems not only superficially but also in deeper immunological, endocrine, and metabolic processes.
Her primary interests include chronic skin diseases, aging, and differential diagnosis of complex cases. This approach requires knowledge and precision, as well as listening skills, analytical thinking, and openness to cooperation with other specialists. Dr. Smolińska especially values interdisciplinary collaboration—seeing the potential for a deeper understanding of a patient’s health where dermatology intersects with rheumatology, allergology, or endocrinology.
Education
Dr. Martyna Smolińska’s educational path is a history of consistent growth, passion for science, and a persistent quest for answers posed by human skin—both as an organ and as a reflection of the entire body. She graduated from the Medical University of Warsaw, one of Poland’s leading academic centers. It was a time of intensive studies and her first clinical and research experiences, which laid the foundation for her current medical practice.
Already during her studies, she was involved in scientific projects, exploring the influence of estrogens on immune responses in melanoma. This period solidified her interest in dermatology as a field where molecular biology meets medical practice. She graduated with honors in 2015, and her dedication was recognized with the prestigious Rector’s Award for the best graduate.
Her further scientific development resulted in a doctoral dissertation devoted to molecular mechanisms in psoriasis—one of the most common inflammatory skin diseases. In 2022, she successfully defended her doctoral thesis, receiving her PhD in Medical and Health Sciences. This was a natural step on her professional path, which from the beginning combined clinical practice with a fascination for cellular and genetic processes occurring in the skin. Since 2016, she has been professionally affiliated with the Dermatology Clinic at the University Clinical Center of WUM, where she completed her specialty training in dermatology and venereology in 2025. Currently, she sees patients at the OT.CO aesthetic medicine clinic in Warsaw, providing empathetic care to address their health concerns.
Certificates/Courses/Training
Dermatology and venereology are dynamically evolving medical fields, requiring constant updating of knowledge and keeping pace with scientific advancements. Changing diagnostic standards, emerging therapies, and the growing importance of an interdisciplinary approach make continuous professional development and specialized training integral to daily practice. Dr. Martyna Smolińska continuously expands her knowledge and skills by attending national and international courses, workshops, and scientific conferences. She is a member of numerous scientific societies, including the Polish Dermatological Society, Hair Dermatology Section, European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV), and the International Trichoscopy and Dermoscopy Society. These activities allow her to follow the latest developments in dermatology and exchange experiences with physicians from diverse clinical backgrounds.
A Few Words About Myself
As a doctor, my everyday practice involves diagnosing and treating patients with skin, hair, nail problems, and sexually transmitted diseases. I am particularly interested in complex cases, requiring consideration not only of the skin but also overall health. I enjoy integrating dermatology with other medical disciplines, often collaborating with rheumatologists, endocrinologists, allergists, or gynecologists to fully understand the underlying causes of skin symptoms. In my practice, I prioritize diagnostic precision, patience, and open dialogue—believing that effective treatment begins with understanding the patient. I offer consultations in Polish and English, viewing each visit as an opportunity to examine both visible skin symptoms and possible deeper processes.
