Modern contraception
Modern gynecology provides many methods of contraception that do not require the cumbersome remembering to swallow pills. However, the selection of the right contraceptive should be discussed with a specialist after thorough research.
The most popular solutions are long-term subcutaneous implants that last for 3 years or IUDs, which combine the features of a spiral and contraceptive pills, maintaining their effect for up to 6 years. However, it is not worth making the decision about the right method on your own. During a consultation with a gynecologist in our clinic, we will jointly determine the best contraceptive method for you.

The procedure
Fitting modern IUDs, that steadily release hormones is very simple, safe, and time-saving. On special request, you can get anesthetics, but they are not a necessity. The procedure is performed by an experienced gynecologist and should take place during menstruation and not earlier than 6 weeks after childbirth.
The effects
Immediately after the procedure, you may experience uterine contractions comparable to those during menstruation. However, they should disappear a few hours after the procedure. You should also report to the clinic for a check-up within 4-12 weeks after the procedure, which is recommended to be repeated once a year. The IUD remains active for 3 to 5 years and can be replaced during the same visit.
